Morecambe Football Clubs new manager Jim Bentley will be driving a brand new Vauxhall Insignia for the 2011/2012 season. Stephen Hargreaves says-We are proud to be yet again involved with the football club at this exciting time in their history. For the past four years we have supplied the manager with a vehicle and we believe Jim’s a great advocate for the club and the associated companies involved. Morecambe FC - 2 vs Bradford City - 2
MORECAMBE picked up a thrilling point in this pulsating game.
Kevin Ellison was once again Morecambe's goal hero with a 91st minute leveller after Bradford had taken a late lead.
Ricky Ravenhill broke the deadlock on 61 minutes with a snapshot from the edge of the box but the Shrimps levelled with four minutes to go when a Laurence Wilson cross was turned into his own goal by Andrew Davies.
A minute later however Bradford took the lead again when Marcel Seip latched on to the loose ball in the Morecambe box and lashed a low shot past Roche.
But the Shrimps were rewarded for their never say die attitude when Ellison volleyed a Phil Jevons cross superbly past Jon McLaughlin to clinch a well earned point.
Morecambe had the best chance of the first half when Danny Carlton blazed wide on 19 minutes after being played in by Will Haining's quickly taken free kick. Laurence Wilson also threatened on several occasions down the left hand side and forced John McLoughlin into an early save.
Bradford caused a few threatening moments of their own with Ritchie Jones forcing Barry Roche into a superb save from a long range effort which the Morecambe keeper tipped over at full stretch.
Nahki Wells clipped a late free kick over the Morecambe wall and inches wide of the left hand post and Garry Hunter produced a superb covering tackle as Wells broke free after a Morecambe attack broke down.
