Meet the Team

Stephen joined the family business and trained to be a Motor Vehicle Mechanic. He then moved from the Workshop into the Aftersales Office as a Service receptionist. After a period he was then promoted to Service Manager running both the Service / Masterfit / MOT centre and Vehicle Accident Repair Centre. He then moved over to the Sales team at Morecambe learning the art of selling cars. In 1996 he moved up to Kendal after buying the Vauxhall dealership in the South Lakes Town. Stephen ran the business until 2009 when his responsibility changed and he now runs both sites with Christopher

In his spare time he spends it with his wife, Suzanne and two children, Rebecca and Sam and sometimes he sneaks out to enjoy his Country Sports and the occasional game of Rugby.

Chris has worked at the Morecambe branch for the past 16 years, firstly in the Aftersales Department; he then joined the Sales Department in 1997. Chris is the contact for Clergy, Corporate and Business Sales.

When Hargreaves Garages were awarded the Chevrolet Franchise in 2006, Chris became the Retail Operator.

Russ has been working in the Sales Department at Hargreaves Gararages for the past 14 years.

Russ started out as a Trainee Sales Consultant and has worked his way up the chain and now has the task of looking after all vehicle sales across our two brands Vauxhall and Chevrolet.

In his spare time Russ likes to spend time with his family, normally running after his two children.

Chris joined Hargreaves Garages as trainee Sales Consultant in 2002 and worked his way up to the Sales Manager role in 2005.
He looks after New and Used vehicle sales at our Kendal dealership with the help of his team.

Chris likes to spend his spare time with his wife and three sons, Chris also fronts a local Rock band at weekends.

Martin aims to make sure all our aftersales customers are completely satisfied with their experience at Hargreaves Garages, and to repair and maintain their vehicle to the highest standard while offering a competitive price.

Martin has worked for Hargreaves Garages for 22 years. Martin started as a trainee car salesman and then went on to work in the parts department becoming Parts Manager before taking up his current role as Aftersales Manager in 1998.

Mick has 26 years motor trade experience, 16 years as technician and 10 years in Aftersales.

For the past two years Danny worked for a web design company in Morecambe, where he developed many new skills which will be beneficial in his new role here at Hargreaves.

Danny's role at Hargreaves will be responsible for the maintenance of the website which includes updating and listing of all the great deals Hargreaves offers from all departments. He will also look after all the used stock on the website and offering general computer support.

Danny's spare time is usually spent traveling around the country watching and taking pictures of banger racing. He travel's to watch various forms of motor sports and when he is not watching or taking pictures he can usually be found behind the wheel racing StoxKarts.

Martin started at Hargreaves Garages in 2007 as a trainee sales consultant and has since established himself as a valuable member of the sales team.

Before working at Hargreaves Martin was part of Morecambe Football Club's acadamy team, where he also achieved a National Sports Diploma.

Martin's spare time is normally spent playing or watching football or spending time with family and friends.

After leaving school David has had a variety of jobs all within the sales environment.

Throughout his working life David has actively been pursuing one of his ambtions of obtaining his commercial pilots licence, but due to family committments, this has had to take a back seat. Any spare time David now has is on the golf course, but even that is becoming rare, due to his imminent second child. We wish him luck in both settling into his new role and the impending birth.

Adam has 2 and a half years experience in the car sales industry having previously worked at Honda and Volkswagen and hope to bring his experience to Hargreaves Garages.

In his spare time Adam is a DJ around Lancaster and has DJ'd for over 15 years now.

Jo-ann joined Hargreaves in June 2011 as Service & Customer Care Advisor and is responsible for advising customers of all their servicing and MOT requirements.

Having worked in the motor industry in Coventry for 18 years, she moved to Lancaster 3 ½ years ago to spend more time with her partner.

Jo-ann loves spending time with her friends and family in Warwickshire and most weekends can either be found travelling back to Warwickshire or welcoming friends and family to Lancaster.

Emily joined Hargreaves in January 2011. Speaking fluent German and working in accounts for three years she is a bright and talented young lady and is great fun to work with.

Soon to start her AAT level 3 qualification she hopes to become a qualified accounting technician, progress her career with the support of Hargreaves and to eventually be a key player within the business.

Emily has a very busy social life and likes to take long walks along Arnside beach where she lives. She loves a glass of wine and a jolly good shop!!

Marian's background is in Customer Service Management and she is passionate about delivering the quality of service she would like to receive her self.

When Marian is not at work she is at college studying for her AAT accounting qualifications or heading for beautiful remote places with her partner Graeme to rock climb or cycle.

Marian has three children who she would love to spend more time with but unfortunately she's just not cool enough.
